"Awel Acupuncture is amazing! Maggie's first treatment blew me away, as it not only helped for what I was having treatment for, but a profound affect on another aspect that I hadn't mentioned. All through the treatments, the thing I came in for continually healed, becoming better & better. Althroughout, I also had a light & lovely feeling to my everyday that had been missing previously. Maggie's therapeutic manner, her knowledge & "down to earthness" is heartening. " I'd been struggling with menopause symptoms for a while - night sweats, extreme mood swings, bloating and seriously heavy bleeding. None of my usual natural go-to treatments seemed to be working and Drs had told me my only options were to take medication indefinitely or more invasive procedures. "Just over a year ago I suffered a ruptured disk in my lower back which resulted in chronic sciatic pain down my right leg. I was taking lots of painkillers daily and had gone through several rounds of physiotherapy which didn’t help. Having been dependent on painkillers for the last year I decided to give acupuncture a go as the next option for my recovery was surgery, and I really didn't want to go through that. I've had eight sessions with Maggie, and it's made such a difference! It's the only treatment I've had that has helped with the pain. My back is now healing and I'm no longer dependent on painkillers to get through the day. I'm getting back to my normal active lifestyle and the symptoms of my injury get less and less as the sessions go on.
